Taking the Good News of the cross of Jesus to all walks of life!

never been to crosswalk?

First of all, welcome, we’d love to have you visit!

What should you expect on your first visit?

The worship service begins at 10:15, and we also have classes for children and adults at 9:00. We are not a big church, so you should be able to arrive just a few minutes before we start and not have any problems.

We are an engaging, friendly congregation. Our worship service features mostly contemporary music, but we love to mix in a few great hymns, too. Some people will clap their hands, a few will raise their hands, and you may even hear an occasional “Hallelujah!”

The message is usually presented by our pastor, Randy Skaja, (pronounced Sky’ – uh) and typically lasts about 30 minutes. We never embarrass our guests – we won’t make you stand up or raise your hand – so just relax. Our dress is come as you are – some people wear blue jeans and T-shirts and others prefer to get dressed up a little bit more for Sunday morning. Come however you are most comfortable. There are bibles provided in the pews if you want to read along.

We finish around 11:20 and people stay and talk for some time, often until noon. You are invited to join us for coffee and cookies in either our Coffee Connection or Welcome Center
after the service.

Parking and Directions

When you arrive, there are visitor and handicapped parking spaces in the back lot on the south side of the building. Look for our parking signs on the street. There is also on-street parking, and we have permission to park across the street in the Whittier School parking lot.

Click directions to open a new window in Google maps. Type your address in “A” and press “Get Directions.”

Got kids?

We provide child care for our pre-school kids. All of our child care givers are “Safe Place” trained. Grade school children attend the service with their parents. The kindergarten through second graders are dismissed for Children’s Church before the sermon begins. The bulletins include a tear-out visitor card – if you would like us to contact you, please fill one out and drop it in the offering plate. (And speaking of the offering, as our guest, you are expected to just sit back and enjoy the service – please feel no obligation to give when we take the offering!)

Communion

The first Sunday of the month we share in communion, the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The pastor or another leader will invite everyone who loves and follows the Lord Jesus Christ to participate with us. We pass the bread and eat it together, then pass the wine (grape juice) and drink that together. If you are uncomfortable, you can just pass when served. (There are always some people who decide to pass.)

Other Questions?

If you have any other questions, please call the church office at 262-547-1117 or send an email at info@mycrosswalk.net.

Please feel free to explore our website – hopefully this will give you a better feel for who we are and what our values are.

handicapped-adaSpecial note to those who have difficulty with stairs: Ours is an older building, and the only public restrooms are on the lowest level, requiring a trip down two sets of steps. (Please ask an usher for directions to a small restroom on the same level as the sanctuary.) You will also want to enter using the front entrance on Hoover Avenue.
